I started skating as a teenager, I would go to the roller rink every weekend to meet my friends. I wasn't that dancer skater and I barely could skate backwards, but I love it. As time went on, I eventually stopped going skating and skating rinks were closing all over the place. I took up another hobbie, riding motorcycles. I did that for 6 years. Long story short, I remember going to the movies, and loved the movies. Anyway, I would see teenagers hanging around the mall and the theater, getting into trouble. That made me think about my teens years and how we would go skating, and how much fun it was. I started searching skating rinks and found there were none in Charlotte. My initial thought was a brick and mortar until the pandemic, that's when the idea for a popup skating rink was born. And here we are!
